I watched the 20/20 show and then decided to join this group. I, like most

people, didn't know others had this problem. In school, when I was younger and

we had to be quiet for tests, I thought I was going to lose my mind. All the

breathing, pages turning and the worst, the sound of someone writing on paper

with a pencil.

These are a list of my current triggers: My mother eating (other people do not

affect me), sucking on teeth, people talking who have thin wet lips. That last

one sounds strange. I know! I have more, but I only notice them in the moment.

I actually have two questions that I hope can be answered. My reactions to

these are always different. With sounds I become anxious and feel angry, but

with the visual I feel panicked and want to get the hell away. Is that normal?

The second: The guy on the show, he said he has trouble in relationships

because the stronger his feelings become he notices he finds more problems with

them. I am the same way. Just out of no where things will start to get to me

to the point were I break it off. Is this something others experience?
