Guest guest
Hi I have had this very experience in the UK recently and told the consultant and nurse practitioner about Misoophonia and they looked it up and although I did have a private room it was soooo noisy . I would not have survived without head phones and listening to music and TV the whole while with ear plugs in at the same tiem. So I would recommend explaining the situation beforehand to those in charge and making the request. It wasn't the patients that drove me wild it was the ordinary noise at night made by nurses. I live in the UK where patients are kept in wards - big open rooms with between 4 and 16 other patients. When I have been in a ward in the past, I had major panic attacks and needed to be sedated. When I was pregnant, I was given a VERY rare private room to relax. I did not know I had misophonia until a couple days ago. How can I convey this to the hospital staff that I have a real condition and I require my own room??
