Guest guest
I shared the 20/20 link with my siblings, three of whom have the same misery with misophonia. My sister said the symptoms seem similar to migraines. Not all migraines cause pain, some are visual disturbances that escalate. Three of my siblings and I also get visual (ocular) migraines and they all experienced visual migraines since they were very young. She said misophonia sounded like an auditory migraine to her based on her years of experiences with visual ones. With her visual migraines she experiences sensitivity to lights, colors, patterns, visual effects, etc. that most people don't seem to notice. Her idea sounded interesting. Guest guest
That is interesting. I started getting migraines as a young adult - really bad for one summer - but I've had the misophonia since long before then, for sure. However, it has been more pronounced now as an adult - or maybe short term memory just serves better, now that we know it's an actual thing. My migraines in the past couple of years are most visual - spots of light, blurs, that kind of thing. I only get the pain headache rarely now. I'd be interested to know if other misophonics have migraines, too. > > I shared the 20/20 link with my siblings, three of whom have the same misery with misophonia.
