Guest guest
Barbara, Sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. I will be praying for him. Want to wish you luck with the nerve blocks. I've had so many of them myself. I hope they work for you and bring you some much need relief. My brother-in-law is having drain tubes put into his liver now and his temp is still very high. He's Still In CCU !!! > > As for me, I saw my ortho today and he also said the same thing the neuro said 2 months ago. He's sending me for nerve blocks, since I can't take oral drugs and react to anything on my skin (patches, creams, tens pads, etc.). He thinks that the blocks are my only option left. This doctor is the best thing in the whole world, I wish one just like him on all of you !!! He spoke to my lawyer today and I will probably see a treating neuro and anesthesiologist very soon. He could not believe that comp. has made me wait. As we all know with RSD/CRPS the longer we wait the worse it gets and the harder it is to treat, if they can treat me now. It has spread not just to both my feet and legs, up the right side into the hip, both my hands and now arms as well (the right is into the arm pit already and starting to affect my shoulder lately). The first set of blocks will be to the lower body first since that is where it all started and they will go further from there if the first set helps !!! I know religion is not allowed on rsd lists, but please say a silent prayer for my brother-in-law again. We need all of the help we can get (my sister is a cancer survivor,20 years and now has to watch her husband suffer). Like I said in my last post, without these lists, I would not have the strength to go on myself. You have all been my life lines and I Again Thank You All From The Bottom Of My Heart. I think that just getting it all out like this, puts it in perspective for me ! " Make New Friends But Keep The Old ~~~ One is Silver and The Others Gold " (a song from girl scouts) But I think it fits how I feel about all of you. And you all know who you are !!! > Soft Hugs Barbara > --- Tracey & Herb Mullen Krieg --- tnhkrieg@...
Guest guest
Oh Barbara, I'm sorry to hear that your brother in law is worse. We will continue to pray for him, your sister and your family. Please take care of yourself. I know you are very worried about both of them, but please don't forget to take care of yourself. Remember what stress does to RSD pain. On another note, congratulations on finding the right doctor. You are right, everyone of us should have an excellent doctor who really cares about our well-being. I lucked out also, after 3 years of being bounced around 14 different doctors! But I finally hit the jackpot with my pain doc (an anesthesiologist) and although he wasn't able to stop the progression (I was too far gone & at Stage 3), in the last 3 years, he has given me much pain relief and is constantly looking for new things to help me. He accomplished the one thing I thought was already impossible, he took me out of my wheelchair! I walk without assistance and the blocks have been my Godsend. So hang in there and let's pray he helps you get out of the vicious pain cycle. Hugz & Bright Blessings Isis ~ " Life is easier to take than you think.
