Hi All-

Aquaphor is an OTC drug found either near the neosporin stuff or the

lotion aisle. You want the ointment not the lotion. You can also try

Eucerin ointment. It has the following ingredients...petrolatum,

mineral oil, ceresin, lanolin, panthenol, glycerin, and bisabolol. I

have found it very helpful with the dryness and burning and itching

especially after using the pads for three days.

Dr. basically said that you just need to protect the area. He

also said that the general trend for the west coast has been estrace and

the east coast biofeedback and the midwest oxalates. He is very

disappointed that more doctors are not trying to find the cause.

Instead they are just treating the sypmptoms. That is why most of us

are NOT getting better. I am not sure about the premenopausal thing.

He just told me not to use it and told me to use aquaphor instead.

Maybe some other people who go to him on the list can tell more. You

could probably call his office and ask his assistant more about

it. He also has a resident working with him who might be able to help.

Sorry i can't give more info...
