Emma Salmon After a career in the fashion and media business, a change of direction led to Emma gaining a BSc in Herbal Medicine from the University of East London in 2006, completing most of her training whilst the Course was still run by the College of Phytotherapy. Her interest in the management of Cystic Fibrosis began when her, then, 4 year old daughter was diagnosed with the disease during the 2nd year of the Course, and so Emma has developed relationships with both the CF trust and several parents of CF children in regards to this. Her final year research into the role of herbal medicine in the treatment of CF was recognised as an innovative piece of work by the NIMH, and was awarded the Nigel Winn award for student projects. Since graduating she has worked in Battle with Herbal Practitioner Jackie Saull-Hunt, and is in the process of setting up a dedicated Clinic of Herbal Medicine on an organic farm which will specialise in children’s health and provide the setting for an educational facility.
