I have it really bad with my dad. I recently found out that I have 4s. Any tips

on how to tell my parents especially my dad. Most of them time they tell me I'm

being a brat and that people have to breathe In order to live...who knew! Ha

Hi ,I am also slightly annoyed with this; along with several other sounds. To date, I always thought that I was somewhat KooKoo since I felt that I was the only one troubled by certain sounds. I still consider the condition peculiar to say the least and I sometimes feel damned to have such good hearing. My husband says I have the hearing of a dog! But I only found out last week that this is a condition. From: jason lange

Hi there. Does anyone have the trigger of people breathing loudly?

I've always been told that I was too sensitive and too finicky. I was always also too embarrassed to tell anyone that their chewing or breathing loudly bothered me since I thought they,d think I was a freak. I still have trouble telling certain people. I don't think that you can actually tell certain people; how can you tell your dad to breath lower? But I DO understand where you're coming from; IT IS annoying. I wish I could be of more help but I have the same dilemma. Maybe having someone else tell you this may at least console you into realizing that you're not alone. Try maybe small pieces of cotton balls rolled in your ears (slightly humid) so it doesn't look too obvious. Yes. It makes me crazy. My earliest memories of that trigger were in elementary school during sleepovers. I remember telling my friend that she breathed too loud. It seemed like a valid complaint to me. I couldn't sleep.

I call it snoring, though hubby says he's " just breathing " . He does it when not

sleeping too, though it sounds like snoring to me.

My first trigger at age 7 was my sister's heavy breathing day or night. We

shared a bedroom and I slept with a pillow over my head my entire childhood. Is

it any wonder I've had both rotator cuffs repaired!
