Guest guest
Reg Reynolds You might start with a vigorous exercise program. Don't overdo it in the beginning.
Guest guest
A good place to start would be trying to figure out why you've been depressed. Are there specific things hanging over your head or adding to your troubles? If so, how can you change those? If not, then it could be a result of diet or biology or disposition or something similar. How is your diet? Do you eat a good amount of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein? If not, start aiming toward this. You may also want to try starting a gratitude journal. Get a nice notebook or journal and spend about 5 minutes every morning (as soon after you get up as possible) and every night (right before bed) writing down what you are grateful for. It can be big things (like friends or family) or little things (like finding a matching pair of socks easily) -- whatever makes you feel gratitude. By taking the time to draw your attention to the good things in your life, you can start to change the way your brain thinks about and reacts to other things throughout the day (there's even a growing pool of research that proves it http://www.cfidsselfhelp.org/library/counting-your-blessings-how-gratitude-impro\ ves-your-health ) Hugs to you! ----- L. Guest guest
Actually, even moderate exercise can help. Try walking for 10 minutes a day, as briskly as you can. > > Reg Reynolds > > > > You might start with a vigorous exercise program.
