Guest guest
Hi,Last week I mentioned that Hydro had changed the power lines on my side street and that they did this to accommodate the increased needs of a nearby hospital. Last winter, I nearly had a breakdown because of the constant HUM. I had no idea where it came from and I literally thought I was going crazy since my husband couldn't hear it and my son heard it only slightly. I , however, heard it like a roaring jet.I decided to seek medical attention and my Md prescribed medication since I was having panic attacks. That helped and I was again able to function. As I mentioned, I decided to take the situation in my own hands; confronted the hospital, Hydro and my municipal city councilor. I am THRILLED to say that after having been a constant PAIN IN THE...., I received a call from Hydro telling me that they are going to change all of the existing lines from each home to the main power line. After asking why it wasn't done in the first place, the Hydro technician was honest enough to say 'Well, they should have changed them in the first place but they wanted to save money; now, they have to change them.'I didn't realize up until a few weeks ago that I have misophonia, but I CAN say that I started to feel better as soon as I started to take some control back, ie; go to my city councilor, go to the hospital, go to see my neighbors and harass Hydro almost daily. LOL.I think that this may be a key to taking some control over the misophonia. I knew that I could fail but I felt SO much better DOING something. I didn't feel as HELPLESS. Granted, a lot of people thought I was a total nuisance but I couldn't care less. I decided that I would either have the problem fixed or I would simply move. However, I decided that before moving, I was going to do everything and anything I could to find a solution. I wasn't going to leave without a fight. Hopefully, the problem will be fixed permanently.Thank you to all for your support and especially to who has taken the time to 'educate' me about certain laws of physics.I FEEL I COULD DANCE ALL DAY!!!Margaret

You saved yourself and a lot of other people from an invisible stressor that could have had unknown subtle health consequences. Kudos to , too! It's great to hear a success story.
