Guest guest
Have your mother read the post by clyle. I am sure a number of us here would be willing to speak to her by phone, including myself. Good luck. To: "Soundsensitivity " <Soundsensitivity > Sent: Friday, July 13, 2012 10:13 PM Subject: Newbie to 4s Hi! I was wondering what the best route to take is in treating my misophonia. Keeping in mind I'm not rich, of course. I'm 20 years old and I've been affected since middle school age and it's gotten worse. My mother is...well, let's just say she is not the most understanding person out there. I get why, it's just hard to be constantly fighting and having my worst trigger thrown in my face cuz she knows it's torturous to me. Well, anywho, I want to know what to tell me my mom about the best approach. A psychologist, or psychiatrist? Does insurance cover any of this at all (this is important)? Is there even a hint of a cure out there? Thanks for any help. I'd love to hear your stories!
Guest guest
— Read the posting from Clyle regarding neurofeedback. I think that is the most effective tool in treating this. Read the postings from Bernadette also—her daughter was on the 20/20 segment and is having amazing results with neurofeedback also.
