Guest guest
Loud chewing is far & away my worst trigger. It's so bad that I once had to leave a restaurant shaking with clenched fists in an angry rage because a guy on the other side of the room was smacking so loudly I couldn't escape it. Just thinking about it, or even now recalling it 3 years later to write this post, makes my blood rise and were I to dwell on it it would become torturous. Also, the sound of silverwear hitting a plate doesn't bother me, but my dad is such a loud eater (when I visit I often leave the room until he's finished eating) that if I can only hear his utensils hit the plate, I associate it with the smacking & the same frustrated rage overcomes me even if I'm far enough away not to hear the smacking. Does anyone else have this experience?
