Guest guest
Hi : I'm a new member and was struck by your last post. Sounds like you are saying that in your experience you have found you need to work on your adrenal system before adding in other hormones like DHEA. I have just been diagnosed with Hashimoto's. I have been put on Armour: started at 1/2 grain, am currently on 1 grain and will begin 1 1/2 grains this Wednesday. My doc is also giving me adrenal cortex/adrenal polypeptide capsules and DHEA (20mg) and Pregnenolone (60 mg) plus asking me to rub Lee ProgesterAll in a dime size BID which I understand is a 10% cream (20 mg per 1/4 teaspoon). I have not been given any estrogen yet although my levels are so low as to almost be non-existant (3.5 pg/ml in luteal phase up to a grand total of 27.4 pg/ml in follicular phase. Are you and others saying that the Progesterone is a bad idea at any dosage? Are you also saying that adrenal repair must happen prior to adding other hormones (excluding Armour?) Are you using cortef as well (Hydrocortisone)? Do you think using DHEA and Pregnenolone at this stage is helpful? I have read that DHEA helps support the adrenals. FYI I read Uzzi/Susie/Suzanne... so that's my introduction to the world of BHRT. Thank you for your reply. Marissa
