Members here have posted about the gaps diet and how it has helped them.

I find alcohol makes it more tolerable while drinking but extremely bad the next day.

I have not found a difference with food as of yet

Mike, I so appreciate your bringing up Adrenal Fatigue (I've had it). The article mentioned in your post is very informative and helpful and I hope others read it.

I concur that practicing a healthy diet and regular exercise, and avoiding drugs and alcohol are essential factors in helping to control Miso. I'd like to add that many over-the-counter and prescriptions drugs can cause tinnitus (speaking from a very bad experience), so to those of you who are taking anti-anxiety meds and anti-depressants, please do so with caution. Here's some information.

I'd like to know if anyone notices if their Miso/4S changes with their diet. Such as, are symptoms better when you eliminate sugar, gluten, or caffeine? It's my understanding that they can be especially " toxic " to those with disorders or diseases. (Oncologists claim these substances can feed cancer.)

I'd love to see more feedback on Mike's topic of adrenal fatigue and also on affects of diet on Miso/4S.

and company,I always welcome your comments .I think food can have a profound effect. To be brief, here are a few reasons:1. Since we are under a much higher stress than most people, we need to be in the best of health. Living with this for 55 years now, I have found that I cope best when I am on top of my game. And a strong body helps in that. 2. Since we are under constant stress, I believe that foods that make us edgy and spike our blood sugar are detrimental. High glycemic foods like white sugar and flourice cream ( I love Cold Stone but eat frozen yoghurt, so sugar) and a lot of processed foods ( high in corn sugars) sure don't

help matters. Think of kids at a birthday party bouncing off and walls and overly emotional, even crying at times. They are practically drunk on sugar. We are nervous enough without it!3. Many natural ( or as close to nature as possible) foods have a can have a calming effect on the body and mind. I just think a diet mainly based on a broad varietyof fruits, vegetables, maybe fish, whole grains seeds, nuts etc. keep us calmer and give us the strength to deal better with life. Face it, like is more difficult than it is for most people. 4. Coffee and other stimulants can make a person nervous and jittery. I drink a coffee substitute and herb tea.I may add to this list, but that is a start. Please add comments.
