Guest guest
CJ, Channing really does not do this constantly, we often go quite a while without having an incident. If you will have some patience, it will die down in a few days as long as we don't feed her need for attention. I read her original post to be sure it is the usual thing, then delete most of what follows without opening it. I just do a very occasional checkin to see if it's running it's course. I am too much of an empath myself, so I can't participate in her flareups without becoming upset for her safety myself. I absolutely know I can't make a change in her behavior, so I have to short-circuit the cause of my discomfort (mostly by not looking or participating). Channing would not continue to behave this way if she did not have her needs met by it. She is having success or she would stop. Therefore, the need that is being met is probably attention, not the need actually expressed in the particular email. To stop the behavior, we all have to stop responding to it. It is a form letter, with the name of the group customized for each mailing. This heavily cross-posted message was prompted by a discussion in another group entirely, resulting in panic (on Channing's part) that someone might somehow threaten her situation with her family. This is an overreaction, as no one suggested anything even remotely like that. I think at this point I am going to switch to no-messages in this group. It's just too frustrating to see (yet another) one of my groups become dominated by Channing's issues alone. I realize that I have contributed to the problem by explaining some of the history in response to the concerns of others, for which I apologize. I may post the occasional article that may be of interest to the group, but I will not be reading group messages in the future. If anyone would like to contact me, please do so offline. Best, ~CJ > I read in some of the posts that people are planning to Call Adult Protective services, The Department of social Services, and Disability Rights and Once this happens since they know my mom is my Guardian my mom will find out what has happened in the Autism in Girls and women online group and then She will be angry at me Because of what I posted in the Autism in Girls and Women Online Group even if they are asking her if she wants extra services or help as a Guardian Since the people in the Autism in Girls and women online group are thinking my mother is not doing a good Job at all as a Guardian Places like Adult Protective Services, The Department of Social services and Disability Rights Could possibly take the Guardian ship away from my mother because of everything I posted in the Autism in Girls and Women online group . I will let you know my mom is doing her best job at what she can do to get me more money for food stamps by going to the court, my mom helps me with my finances and my mom who is in charge of my finances says that I have no money for Jeans at all to replace all of my Jeans that have holes in them because she has no money to afford the Jeans and because I am unemployed and I have no money to afford the Jeans ,my mom is the one that chose my living situation and wants me to live near her I want to be near my mom also, my job coach is doing the best that they can do to try to get me employed but the job market and economy is so bad these days it could take years to get a Job. I am Scared that someone is going to Call the Adult Protective Services, the Department of social services and Disability rights from what I have posted in this Autism in Girls and women online group > > Channing >
