Guest guest
Hi Dr J, I’m pretty sure Yahoo will have backups, especially for deletions this recent. Down at the very bottom of the message board is a “Help†link, which leads you to another page with a “Contact Yahoo†button. If you and I both contact them I bet we can get the posts reinstated, and hopefully better protected. I did not read this site for a few days, my mom fell and is in the hospital and now a rehab care center (she lives with us, 86 years old with Alzheimer's and dislocated her shoulder and had bad deep cut on her elbow) and I have been so busy with her needs and trying to keep her safe and well...So....someone wrote me and alerted me.I never delete posts.I hate that about other sites and I resent my posts being edited and deleted or changed.I do delete sales messages and spam? Don't you?I also delete hacked email addresses because sometimes they send 100s of messages and I have to spend time deleting them or people complain. But so far, when they get un-hacked, they just come back and I let them right in.My email has been hacked on yahoo so I get that. But I never delete important messages.I will moderate what I find to be rude or inflammatory or insulting messages because this is just not that kind of place. How can you believe I would do that, if you have ever met me or talked with me? I believe in what is happening here and I want every approach to be tried and used.I would like to know what happened?Where did that thread go?Did I make an error somehow? Can I do something to get it back? Does anyone know?Marsha (appalled in Oregon)

Guest guest
I am very sorry to hear about your mother and will hope for a speedy recovery. It's just odd that clyle's post from March was removed along with the re-post of it. It's very strange that it's the same post deleted; along with my thread talking about his post, over the duration of a few days...but everything in between is still there. If it's yahoo, it's still very strange. We can only move forward. To: Soundsensitivity Sent: Tuesday, July 24, 2012 5:46 PM Subject: Deleting posts? Guest guest
I don't know either. I would not delete important posts. I only suspect it was somehow in the same 'thread'. Blah. Bad day in a bad week. What next? Guest guest
This is irritating and comes as a result of the way yahoogroups are set up. The easiest (only?) way to deal with it is for people to edit out irrelevant information in their replies, whilst keeping the relevant info in. > > Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2012 01:15:55 +0000> > Who needs sales messages and spam when the group members routinely post messages with 900+ lines consisting of quotes of quotes of quotes of quotes, following their own message of a couple lines?> > > I do delete sales messages and spam? Guest guest
I mostly lurk here. My daughter and I both suffer from Misophonia. I am interested in whatever proves to be helpful through research and follow up. I just find it interesting that so many people so quickly assumed Dr. J. deleted the posts. That to me is very sad after all she has done for the cause. That was the immediate conclusion, just because she was warning people to be careful about what they spend their money on trying to find cures. If NFB proves to be the thing that cures Miso, I am all for it. I am encouraged about what I hear thus far and also feel that Miso is a brain/neurological response. However, I don't think everyone should bash Dr. J. for issuing a far warning. This is a discussion board - aren't we supposed to have meaningful discussions? Also, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE when you are replying, delete all the other replies. It's so annoying to have to read through pages and pages of posts with everyone's replies listed below the poster's reply! > > > > Who needs sales messages and spam when the group members routinely post messages with 900+ lines consisting of quotes of quotes of quotes of quotes, following their own message of a couple lines? > > >

Guest guest
I also think that Dr. J is just warning people to be cautious and I had said this before. But I am reluctant to participate recently because I know little about NFB and it seems to be a sensitive subject. Also it seems very responsible that Dr. J doesn't broadcast the protocol that she is testing in a study, until that study is completed. Guest guest
Dr. J I don't believe you would have deleted those posts. It makes no sense to me. I also wish that if someone is questioning your actions, they would communicate with you directly. Your Fan, Ann ('s mom)
