Guest guest
Yes, ice crunching is horrible and what is the point anyway? Nutritional value? Is it acceptable to ask an ice cruncher to just suck it? Guest guest
That's one of my worst triggers. I have friends that do it..some do it even knowing I have a problem..not to be rude, but just because they don't think about it. I don't even get WHY you want to eat ice...When I have friends over for dinner, lunch, etc...I always use these Plastic Cups that are large, but have screw on lids with heavy duty straws. It reminds my guests not to eat ice and makes it hard for them to do without thinking about it I am also triggered by the sights of things that trigger me - like if someone is putting gum in their mouth or washing a peach (I hate the sound of someone eating a peach) or openning a bag of chips becuase I know the crunching is coming soon... =

Guest guest
My sister is a drooly ice cruncher...drove me crazy. I started carrying nail clippers and would start clipping when ever she started crunching. She can not stand the sound of nail clippers. That one does not bother me. in Ca Yes, ice crunching is horrible and what is the point anyway? Nutritional value? Is it acceptable to ask an ice cruncher to just suck it? Guest guest
Meredith, thanks for the enlightenment. I didn't realize ice chewing was a symptom (not just a habit). Ice chewing enrages me but I also had a compulsion to eat massive quantities of ice until diagnosed with severe anemia and put on iron. It could be a true medical condition just like misophonia so try to be as understanding as you wish to be understood. Guest guest
It isn't always a symptom. Some people just like to eat ice because it's cold and wet, especially in this hot weather many of us are having! Missy Meredith, thanks for the enlightenment.
