Hello,

My

center is considering putting written guidelines in place regarding our financial

review process with our patients. I am aware that this is a delicate

subject, so please feel free to e-mail me directly as well. I have

already reviewed list serve information from the last year and I am hoping for

additional feedback.

Do

any of your centers have written guidelines/policies regarding the following

situations and would you be willing to share them with me?

1. Patients that will have large

out-of-pocket medical and/or prescription expenses after transplant.

2. Patients that will have no

out-of-pocket maximum for medical and/or prescription expenses after transplant.

3. Patients that do not have

Medicare supplemental coverage.

4. Patients that do not have

any insurance.

Thank

you!

Amy

We currently do not have in policies in place but I know that some center's make

it mandatory for the patient to fund raise and have a certain amount of money

available in the fund raising account prior to listing.
