Guest guest
Hi All, I am hoping to get some feedback regarding who should be paying as primary in the following situation: · Patient is 65 and actively employed full time with a EGHP · Patient has not signed up for Medicare based on age · Patient is not on dialysis · Patient will receive a live donor transplant which will be his ESRD entitling event His health plan has told me that as soon as he elects Medicare, they will become secondary to Medicare. My thoughts are that if he signs up because of his ESRD entitlement while still actively working, the 30 month cob period still applies. Thanks in advance!
