,I have this problem in spades since I could talk, literally. I've had the word "blunt" used in reviews on the job. I figured it was some level of Aspergers or something similar. I work really hard to suppress it but am not always successful. Like you say - it makes life so difficult. I think it causes me more stress than all the hearing problems. I have over the years been told by many people that it's not what I say but how I say it. I think that in many situations I have come across as overly aggressive. In retrospect I think this condition made me very tired, edgy and anxious. This caused huge problems in every department of my life! I still see myself doing this but can remove myself now that I am semi retired. I can rest and relax, this helps. I still have huge problems with the triggers, that's the same, but just resting and taking a break has been great.Sent from my iPad

I have had the same experience.

Seriously.

So I can see how things might be said that come across as rough or most often

too honest.

I am dealing with the idea of promotion here and trying to sort this out and

also trying to handle an endless stream of personal emails that simply will not

stop even when invited.

As you all know, I am a working person and I have trouble devoting so many hours

per day to the group.

I wonder if there are a couple others here with level heads who might like to

moderate along with me> I already have one person who has been very handy and

good, but maybe we need a committee.

Hot topics could go to a committee for review and decision and then I would not

have to left holding the 'mean card'.

There have only been two cases of moderator-review prior to posting on this site

since I started it.

I think that is an okay record. It is interesting that my idea on how to calm

down the heat of the moment, went into a kind of hotter flame!

After some email exchanges, I believe we have an understanding and we can now

proceed.

Back to 4S/misophonia.
