Billing for Donor Complication Questions

Hi All,

We are trying to develop policy / procedures to address this new regulation and have a couple of questions I hope someone can answer...

Is the recipient responsible for co pays or deductibles that Medicare doesn't pay for ?

Can we bill the recipients secondary insurance for balances after Medicare pays ?

and what if the patient doesn't have Medicare, Do we bill the recipient commercial insurance for donor complications ?
