Guest guest Posted August 3, 2012 Report Share Posted August 3, 2012 Yes, this is absolutely very typical of misophonia. The sounds of letters such as t, p, and s are often triggers. These sounds along with chewing and smacking sounds are some of the most common triggers. Missy It all started when I was about 10yrs. old. I used to pray with my parents, and one day I just had this weird thing when words containing the letter "s" (and "c"'s sounding like "s") and "t really irritated me.
