Guest guest
Dede, Sounds like the oncologist is similar to most doctors - get them in, ship them out. I am sorry! With all of the symptoms you have been having, I can see why you'd be concerned. I pray the gastro has answers for you. I am doing alright - hanging in there. I have the day off work today which is really nice. Went and got my hair trimmed - needs color though. I did laundry, cleaned the kitchen and that is about it. Just a relaxing day. It is windier than ever here! I hate it! I would rather have snow. It is a non-stop wind too like 25-30 mph winds too - it is horrible. Damn weather! Love you! Guest guest
Dear Sweet Dede, I am so sorry you are going through all of this!!! My personal feeling is that 6 months is too long to wait. I think you should have a second opinion. Alot can change in 6 months. I saw it with my dad 10 years ago when he had lung cancer. Pray hard about it and I will pray for you too. Then listen closely as God guides you as to what you should do. Love & Prayers, a (no subject) Hello Everyone ~ I saw the oncologist today. He wants me to have a mammogram to rule out breast cancer, as I havent had one in 10 years. He didnt feel any lumps, but I guess with the breast exam he gave me he wouldnt have felt any unless they were huge. He barely touched me. These big things must have scared him. They are odd looking as they just grew this last 2 years from skin stretched over implants and the ripples showing thru to these humongus boobs that go to my belly button, ok, 1 inch shy of it. Anyway, he said that the lung nodules I have are small, and even the two larger ones are too small to biopsy, they are between 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch big. He felt like the fact I was scoped 16 months ago, and there was no irritation or cancer looking areas at the GE junction is a good thing, even tho biopsy at the time showed gastritis inside my stomach. But he is gonna call the gastro man and see if he thinks I need to be scoped again and get his imput. He is gonna contact Dr Montero about my breasts and my concern of the implants busting with a mammogram. He feels it would be safe, but understands my concern of rupture and spillage because of my previous blowout of silicone in 1994. I cannot have a mri because of my heart device. He seemed like a doc that thinks implants are safe. I didnt go into that tho, I am just going by his reaction to my fears on the mammogram and what he was saying about the safety of mammograms with implants. Obviously, he is not correctly educated in this area. He also said other things could cause nodules in my lungs including lupus, but he wanted to rule out breast cancer because it could cause lung nodules like I have. So........anyway, he had me schedule another appt with him in 6 months to have another CT and see him to check on the lung nodules. He will let the gastro man handle the stomach issue, and if the mammo shows cancer, he will deal with it then. He didnt feel I had any immediate worry. So, I didnt really learn anything, please let me know your thoughts and opinions, as I am not sure how I feel about any of this. I just have a few thoughts myself, 16 months since scope, could a problem arise in that amount of time ? ? and lung nodules, is 6 months too long to wait to re-check them if they werent here a year ago? I will let God handle this for now........ Have a great weekend ! Love Dede Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Get new twists on family favorites at AOL Food. Guest guest
Wow Dede,All that wait, then it's like - nothing! . . . You don't know anything more today than you did yesterday . . . A good mammogram technician may be able to get a decent picture without breaking those implants . . . They told me they have to use a special machine for really large boobs at UAMS. It's not as high tech as the other machines though. . . You might want to get details about your options in Austin. If it was me, I'd be asking for a second opinion, unless the gastro doc decides action is needed. This doctor sounds too laid back for me. I don't understand why a mass between 1/4 and 1/2 inch can't be biopsied! . .. Of course, you might develop a cough that needs to be checked out before six months. In the meantime, you've got a little more time for those prayers to work their miracles.God Bless,Rogene
Guest guest
a, Amen to that - I think God brought us all to this site. I did the Dr. Natura Colonix as well. I only did one month. It worked well but I have found great results using Bulk-K fiber everyday - and it while it doesn't taste great, it is better than the Colonix. It doesn't really have a taste. I am pretty close to regular now that I use it - before I was very bound up. I was the same as you, felt like I would die before explant and then better after. I did/do have flares though. Hang in there girl. You have a great attitude! Love, Lynn > > Hi Dede & Ladies, > Just remember..............WITH GOD NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. > I am doing better all the time. Thanks for asking.   It has now been 9 weeks since my explant and at that time I felt I was dying.   I don't feel well today but it is because I have tried to do too much this week.   I'm still trying to learn the skill of 'pacing' in my life and I'm not very good at it.  Thankfullly though, I seem to be having more good days than bad and I feel very blessed.  I have been using my portable infrared sauna and I feel it is helping me quite a bit.  I have also been trying Dr. Natura's  Colonix and Toxinout and trying to get a healthier gut.  I think the combination of everything I am doing is helping me alot.  Today I do have that old familiar sore throat, swollen glands amd aching pain over the back of my neck and/base of my skull.   I used to feel like this everyday though and now it seems those bad days occur if I've pushed myself too hard. > I have also been blessed to be able to increase my hours at work. I'm still not back to my regular hours yet but I am gradually getting there.   My cough used to return after working approx. 3-4 hours and now it doesn't kick in until I've worked approx. 7 hours.  So........I am gradually improving.  I think that a big reason I am improving quickly is because I had proper explant as soon as I did.  Had I listened to doctors, I would still be bedridden and trying to patiently recover from Mono and Chronic Epstein Barr as they had advised.  Thankfully, I found this group and you wonderful ladies helped me act quickly to fix the source of my problems.   I will be forever be so grateful to all of you for helping to save my life. > I am trying so hard to help others as you have all helped me.  I am sharing my story with many men and women in hopes that I can help others who are suffering and to help educate others who are contemplating breast augmentation or those who are having problems.  > God bless all of you.  My prayers are with you. > Love, > a > > > Re: (no subject) > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Guest guest
The product I got was recommended and sold to me by the Holistic Chiro. It came from The Key Company. Look at their website - thekeycompany.com - go to the catalog and list out products by alphabetical order and you'll find it. Less than $15. Not bad. I am also using GI-Revive. It was a lot more pricey though but my holistic doc highly recommended it to get my GI tract healthy. The Bulk-K alone was helping me go to the bathroom though. http://catalog.designsforhealth.com/s.nl/it.A/id.841/.f > > > > Hi Dede & Ladies, > > Just remember.... ......... .WITH GOD NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. > > I am doing better all the time. Thanks for asking.   It has now > been 9 weeks since my explant and at that time I felt I was dying.   > I don't feel well today but it is because I have tried to do too much > this week.   I'm still trying to learn the skill of 'pacing' in my > life and I'm not very good at it.  Thankfullly though, I seem to be > having more good days than bad and I feel very blessed.  I have been > using my portable infrared sauna and I feel it is helping me quite a > bit.  I have also been trying Dr. Natura's  Colonix and Toxinout and > trying to get a healthier gut.  I think the combination of > everything I am doing is helping me alot.  Today I do have that old > familiar sore throat, swollen glands amd aching pain over the back of > my neck and/base of my skull.   I used to feel like this everyday > though and now it seems those bad days occur if I've pushed myself > too hard. > > I have also been blessed to be able to increase my hours at work. > I'm still not back to my regular hours yet but I am gradually getting > there.   My cough used to return after working approx. 3-4 hours and > now it doesn't kick in until I've worked approx. 7 hours.  > So.........I am gradually improving.  I think that a big reason I am > improving quickly is because I had proper explant as soon as I did.  > Had I listened to doctors, I would still be bedridden and trying to > patiently recover from Mono and Chronic Epstein Barr as they had > advised.  Thankfully, I found this group and you wonderful ladies > helped me act quickly to fix the source of my problems.   I will be > forever be so grateful to all of you for helping to save my life. > > I am trying so hard to help others as you have all helped me.  I > am sharing my story with many men and women in hopes that I can help > others who are suffering and to help educate others who are > contemplating breast augmentation or those who are having problems.  > > God bless all of you.  My prayers are with you. > > Love, > > a > > > > > > Re: (no subject) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ____________ _________ _________ __ > > Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Guest guest
paula; thanks again for reply. I've never ordered from e-bay - did you buy a particular brand of sauna? is it expensive? how does a portable work? do you have to stay in a closed area? I have a regular 2 person heat sauna, but would like the infra red. do you think it would be enclosed in the housing I have for the heat? sorry, one last question - does it work better than the foot bath? (I've heard controvery on these) thanks again. gg Re: (no subject) Hi gg, I purchased my portable infrared sauna on Ebay. I also purchased an Ionic Foot Bath on Ebay. Guest guest
gg,I have both a FAR sauna and an ionic foot bath. I love them both. I believe the detox is different with each. . . With ionic foot baths, one must take a good mineral supplement because the foot bath isn't going to discriminate between good and bad minerals . . . Also, if you have any metal implants, like joint replacements, or a pacemaker, it should not be used. With either, you should drink plenty of water before and after. Sometimes my perspiration is absolutely putrid in the sauna.Photos of my first foot bath are in the photo archive. . . My foot bath results don't look nearly as gross now. You MIGHT be able to disassemble a portable unit and rebuild it into a dry sauna . . . salvaging lights and controller. . . I don't believe it would fit into a two-person unity intact. I wouldn't count on it. Maybe a knows if it will disassemble and reassemble reasonably well.Hugs,Rogene Re: (no subject) a ~ Thank you for your kind words and prayers. Guest guest
Hi gg, My sauna is called QUIETIME. I purchased it from a seller named a on Ebay. They were great to work with! I paid $300.00 When my sauna is unfolded, it is approx. 3 ft. by 3 ft. square and approx. 4 ft. tall. It comes with a little chair that also folds up. You sit in the sauna and it zips up with just your head sticking out of it. There are little pockets that zip for your arms in case you want to read a magazine or work the controller. It really doesn't disassemble. It doesn't come apart in pieces. It is sewn together. You can look at them on the internet to see what I mean.. I agree with Rogene regarding the difference in infrared sauna and footbath. I like to use both of them. It really is important to take good mineral supplements when doing the foot bath. I also try to drink alot of water to help flush the toxins and replace water loss. I try to use my sauna 1-2 times per week for approx 30-45 min. per session. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Ya, I agree, Patty, a dead worm is better than an alive one anyday ! Ya know thru foods, meats as well as vegetables and all I am sure we all have parasites, organisms having organisms....that have organisms.... all one microscopic ( smaller ) than the other, all feeding off of each other.... It is kind of a creepy thought, but it is really how it all works......... even bacteria has nano bacteria......... Guest guest
PH ~ I have read about Vonderplanitz ! You know making a pesto out of the raw meat and eggs would work.....and you can put it with things.... you know putting a raw egg in a smoothie is easy....eating raw from what I have read gives you all the things we do without these days.....but it needs to be foods that arent given hormones or modified/pasturized or cloned anything...... It would be like eating the natural way before wonderful technology stepped in to pad the pockets of the greedy......I worry about radiated vegetables now....what is that gonna do...... Sometimes I think much of technology is not so good....... We will get it all figured out.....now, for me and some of the others, gotta find a means to do much of it......but we will get it done ! Guest guest
You're right, Dede. My doc said we all carry them and so does every animal. He said w/ tapeworms, especially, you're more likely to suffer from them if you are a big meat eater and have pets...most of Americans, I'd say. From what I've read, if your pork and beef aren't cooked fully, you put yourself at risk. Yet, there's this one guy named Aajonus Vonderplanitz who cured his cancer by eating raw meat. In fact, my chiro recommended I read his book and try the diet! It seems like there are a lot of testimonials w/ people who have cured all kinds of chronic illnesses. I don't think there's any way I could stomach raw eggs and meat...blech! Love, PH > > Ya, I agree, Patty, a dead worm is better > than an alive one anyday ! Guest guest
Amy, We had our daughter start the Starband at 7.5 months. I wished we would have started a month earlier, but luckily we saw big improvements rather quickly. Corinne's head wasn't really bad, but it was very noticable to me. I do not regret for a second getting it. She has never minded wearing it at all. And the biggest inconvenience was having to bathe her and wash her hair every night LOL! Well, also the trips to the orthotist 1.5 hours away, that kind of stunk, too! Anyway, it was totally worth it, even though her hair probably would have covered the plagio. Definitely go with Starband or DOC band if you can. Most of the people I have heard that regret it are ones that went with less than reputable companies that make their own band/helmet. I really don't think you'll regret having it. Corinne's been wearing hers for over 2 months, and we expect at least one more month, maybe 2. The time has flown by. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Thank you for sending this. It was lovely to read this, esp as I am going thru a very stressful time as my mom is critically I'll and In all probability she won't pull through I also like to thank everyone who sent links for getting doxy, etc off prescription and to Cooky for getting the ball rolling on this. I have been with this group for years and although I've been quiet most of the time, I appreciate how I can pop back in and find support. My thanks to all of you! Guest guest
Lynn, You are a kind soul. Wanting to help these people you met with what they are going through with their child with autism. I have had the same thing happen to me because once you are a member of the A-club you can spot these kids from a mile off. I was in an elevator at the Mall of America when this woman joined me. I could tell her kid was definitely one of ours. I too was not sure what to do. It is so difficult to know when you should keep your thoughts to yourself and when you are actually helping. I handed her one of my cards and said my kid had what your kid has. Now he is much better because we found a doctor to help us. Please call me if I can help you in any way. It turned out it was the nanny and not the mom and I never did get a call. I have had a next door neighbor who had two kids in the club. You know it is on everywhere now. She lives 30 minutes from Dr. G and I couldn't convince her to go. In her defense, her husband had cancer and she just had too much on her plate. You can lead them to water but you can't make them drink. We all know how much the medical has helped our kids but there are still so many who just want to talk about their kids and the problems associated with autism while not really do anything to actually help their child. Don't beat yourself up. If they really wanted to help their child they will start searching like we all did. The only thing you might have done is save them some time. You can only pretend there is nothing wrong with your kid for so long. I love that you are trying to play it forward. It is what we must all do. Many helped me and now I'm trying to help others. Best, Marcia

Guest guest
Janet, Yes. I do know your story. Its awful of what happened to you. I also know how hard you have worked to get people, decision makers, to listen. Can't speak for the asthma. Sometimes people post thoughts on chatboards of what they THINK. But they forget to add the disclaimer " I think " ...While we usually seem to discuss CIRS - WDB, and HP, Aspergillosis, etc, more than asthma and a lot of times HP is misdiagnosed as asthma; asthma is a very serious illness, too. Ebony Gage from Philly who got severe brain damage after an attack, could tell one that if she could still speak. I am sorry if anyone made you feel like they were diagnosing you from a chat board and telling you that you were wrong with what you think about your own body. I think you have been dealing with this illness long enough that you most likely know what this has done to you and what works to help curtail the symptoms. Keep up the good fight!!
