Wanda and , Do you send a list of meds to the pharmacy and ask them to provide you with an estimate of what the specific patient’s copay would be? Are you also doing this when you are checking on Medicare Part D coverage? I typically have to give the each med, dosage and amount to them to check and it can be very time consuming. I’m just trying to get an idea of how others might be getting these Rx benefits and estimate costs per patient. Thanks! M. and I are the TXFC for our transplant centers.  We work our transplant medication accounts as does.  Yes it’s very time consuming work getting costs of the meds. We call all pharmacy plans for ourpatients so they have an estimated idea of the cost of their meds.  It is partof the financial clearance before the evaluation begins.  We specifically checkthe copay for Valcyte.
