Hi team,

I have a patient who needs to be listed for heart transplant, but the physician

is requiring that his teeth be extracted prior to listing. He is too unstable

to be discharged from the hospital and have these services performed at an

outpatient facility. Does anyone know if Medicare would cover the extraction

since it is medically necessary? I'm thinking not, but I'm hoping that some of

you will prove me wrong and make me have a better day. :)

Thanks,

Garrison
