Guest guest
Good Afternoon, Has anyone heard of this dispersant before? When I called the company and asked them what the INCI name was they simply said, " It doesn't have one but, we suggest you use sweet almond oil's inci " Description: The Dispersant is an " all natural " solubilizer extracted from sweet almond oil/palm oil. It is an effective dispersant for blending essential oils into water. Helps misters stay unclogged or when you need a bath oil to disperse effectively into water. Our Dispersant is an invaluable supplement for enhancing client treatments and products. Many Aromatherapy books recommend the use of a dispersant when using essential oils in water. The dispersants mentioned are usually synthetic products that disperse the essential oil(s) through the water. It is very economical to use since the amount used is simply a drop for drop ratio to the essential oils required. Any help would be appreciated. Guest guest
Hi all - judging from the link to Neroliane, they are simply talking about an emulsifier to disperse the essential oil into the water - they don't mix naturally (I know you know this, just thinking out loud). I often use salts and/or honey for this purpose, but they are simply talking about putting your essential oils into regular sweet almond oil carrier oil. This, however, doesn't work that well, because the oil still doesn't mix into the water - it floats around on top. You need something like Polysorbate if you don't want to use salts and/or honey. When you first mentioned it, I thought you were saying there was a sweet almond oil-based emulsifier - wish there were! HTH's. Ann Ann C.
