Guest guest
Heidi, Do I have trouble with hemorrhoids, YES! I have had them since I had my children, and that was quite awhile ago. Sometimes soaking in a sitz bath helps, and it helps never to get constipated which can be quite tricky! You could try taking a stool softener. I don't know if you are on any diets like low oxalate etc. but on the I.C. diet it eliminates prunes and all the good things that would help one be regular. Can you eat bran cereals, they would help. Guest guest
No hemmorioids for me but my chair at work is very soft and someone suggested I get a donut to sit on. I bought one today and will try it out tomorrow. I know some others on the list have said they are not good for you but I don't know what else to try. Someone said a rolled up towel. Heidi how many people are on your list? Michele D
Guest guest
Heidi, Yes, as soon as you get pregnant, you'll get to experience that pleasure. Then, they'll get better, but when you're beautiful little babies turn become teenagers, they become your henorrhoids. At least, that's what happened to me. Then, they turn 20 and become one of your best friends, so it's worth it. Joanne
Guest guest
I'm just wondering if any of you have ever had problems with hemorrhoids? ~Heidi
Guest guest
Cathleen, I had skin tags and my gyno sent me to a dermatologist who used co2 to burn them off. You might want to call a dematologist to see if they will take them off. It did hurt like hell as she was doing it but once they were off it healed inabout 5 days. Guest guest
Theresa, Not knowing what hemorrhoids are is not stupid! I never knew either until I had 2 children! They feel like little bumps or sacs that get irritated when you have a moverment. Actually I could swear mine are as big as basketball sometimes but they usually feel worse than they look. You can have them without having pain also. Have you had this checked out since you mentioned bleeding? Hope this helps Darlene

Guest guest
Theresa, A Hemmroid on the outside can look kind of like a grape if it is inflamed or a skin tag. They can also be inside where you can't see them. You should get the bleeding checked out though. Rectal bleeding is never normal. Guest guest
Heidi & others....thought I would add something about the hemmoroids. My husband had a very bad case of them (he would kill me if he knew I was sharing this), and had to have surgery a few years ago. The surgery was very painful, he spent 5 days in the hospital & it took 6 wks. to fully recover. At least, he now understands what its like to wear sanitary pads...LOL. Anyway, he had lots of tests done before the surgery to be sure the blood wasn't coming from anything more serious. I recall his doctor telling me bright red blood usually comes from hemmoroids, darker blood comes from up farther in the colon. Hemmoroids are basically varicous veins in the rectum & the blood comes from one of them bursting...or from irritating the tissue when you have a bowel movement. There are treatments for it that can be done in the doctors office...ie tying them off with bands, and the type of surgery my husband had is a last resort. You should defintely get it checked out by a doctor if they are bleeding alot. No sense suffering with them on top of the VV problems. Take care.....Diane
