Guest guest
I'm planning on sending a more polished version of this email to my co-workers to get help with my Asperger's syndrome in the workplace: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- When my mom was in the hospital I became very aware of a personal impairment. I struggle with non verbal communication especially in the areas of showing empathy. We usually do that through face to face interactions, voice tone & volume, and knowing how to pace an interaction. I'm often unaware when I get loud, or don't show the reactions that are typical. It can cause a lot of confusion and worry. Letting me know when it happens can be both difficult, and extremely helpful. One of my co-workers (at my request) used to rate how I did on the days I worked with him. I hope this makes it easier to reach out when things are challenging. If it easier to communicate with me indirectly, I understand, but I hope that me letting you know helps me a great deal, and I've learned to take the criticism in the spirit it is given, which is most often positive and hopeful. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- any feedback on this would be welcome. You can also send it to my therapist, Ralph Wilps, ralph.wilps@... Thanks, Sterbal robert@... home cell
