Guest guest
A clarification on Tricare for Life – They DO require prior authorization for clinical trials, or for cases where Medicare may not cover the transplant. Those situations may occur for BMT, but shouldn’t be an issue for solid organ. Guest guest
Tricare for Life covers everthing that Medicare A & B allows. If you need something that they do not cover and the patient has access to a military hospital, you can try to access the care there. Folks that have Tricare Prime as secondary to Meicare still really only have Tricare for Life benefits as their claims go to Wisconsin.
