Guest guest
I live in NJ. I'm not in college, but I live near Montclair State. Anyone else near here? How far is Rutgers? Sent from my Samsung Epicâ„¢ 4G Touch
Guest guest
Hi! I've been lurking so far but maybe now is a good time to speak up. My sister and I are both on this list and have talked about starting a support group in the LA area. She is a nurse and I'm currently a grad student in an MFT program so I think we'd make a great team.I have had the misophonia thing as long as I can remember, starting somewhere between 5-10 years old (altho I don't really have any earlier memories before age 5 so I don't know for sure when it started) My first trigger was snoring. And of course, over time, others were added. My triggers were initially only from the key people in my life. My mother being the worst offender, her singing, whistling, nail clicking, even singing would send me out of the room. I learned quickly to hide this "weirdness" of mine. I believed that I was some kind of freak, something was wrong with me. at some point my sister and I became aware that we shared this issue and could at least commiserate with one another. That has helped a lot. So, yeah, I'd love to get a group going. , whereabouts in LA are you?Happy to have found all of you!Janet Sent from my iPad That's awesome, Unfortunatly I live in Los Angeles however i'm sure that those of us who live elsewhere would check it out when in the area, me included.
