Hi all,

Caremark Specialty pharmacy will not give us patient’s

Rx benefit summary and out of pocket responsibility with out an actual

prescription. And we are requesting the information at time of consent. Any suggestions

on how to obtain medication benefit summary from a Specialty pharmacy prior to

transplant?

Thanks,

I used to do that...it was time consuming...my supervisor suggested that I just

get the general co-pays for retail/mail order (generic/brand/non-formularly) and

then notify the patient what their approx. co-pays will be for each medicine. I

still have to spend the time calling the rx insurance companies but I am not so

frustrated anymore!
