You are correct. Hi ,The insurance company is wrong. The COB is 30 months from the entitling event and just because Medicare is in second place at the time of transplant does not make Medicare Primary. Hello everyone, I was just on the phone with a patient and his insurance company together and the Case Manager stated that Medicare automatically becomes primary at the time of transplant in spite of the COB period.
