Hi all

Does anyone have a donor policy or process they would be willing

to share. I’m looking at our process and I’m curious how each Transplant

Center is handling the donor process from initial consult to billing? Any

process in regards to billing would be helpful, including the MCCR process.

Thank you

Vivian

When speaking to living kidney donors during their evaluation, how can you

reassure them that their recipient has Medicare/will have Medicare to cover

possible future donor complications without violating HIPAA? Isn't the

recipient's insurance information confidential?

I would also love to have this information!!! I’m trying to develop this from scratch right now and really running into some challenges. I have just developed a spread sheet that I update whenever I am informed that orders have been placed on potential transplant pt’s and donors and then I identify where they need to be billed; acquisition vs. pt’s insurance. The thing that I just added today was a separate column for physician services vs. facility services. Always learning…. M.
