This is what my sister does that really gets to me. I've never seen anyone eat a chip or cracker the way she does - she starts by biting down loudly with her mouth still open as you describe, then makes several very quick chewing motions with her mouth still open, then closes her mouth and finishes chewing. As she's making the quick chewing motions with her mouth still open, she makes some funny little sucking air noises by putting her lips together and opening them again - I don't even begin to know how to describe that. But I really think if she would chew with her mouth closed, it wouldn't bother me so much. She's 45 now and has eaten chips or crackers that way ever since she was a child. She's not usually an obnoxious eater, but with the chips and crackers, I just have to leave the room.

I don't have any trouble with visuals except chewing with the mouth open, but that's more annoyance than true miso I think. I don't have any more trouble with smells than the average person either, although I do have a dog that has the worst gas I've ever experienced! It was going to be either me or her until I finally started using probiotics in her food, and now the gas is a rare problem. :-)

Repetive motions like tapping or swinging a foot do bother me, but only if they involve a sound along with the motion.

Especially when someone puts something like a chip into their mouth and LOUDLY bites down (almost like they WANT it to make noise) while their mouth is still open.
