I'm having surgery on Friday. I would like to know if any of you have heard

of any problems with the healing if one is on 10mg of predisone? My rheumy

says there is no problem, however the surgeon is alittle concerned. She

wanted me to completly go off pred for one mo. That is impossible.

Also, I am going to have my pre op exam and yearly exam all at once.

Since my drs. pretty much let me handle the AP using the group instead of

them, I am going to ask for the following blood tests to be done:

For my thyroid (which has never been checked) a T3, T4 and TSH level,

a hormone check on estrogen, progesterin, & testosturin (SP?), a mycoplasma

test, a candida antigen titer (is that right?), candida antibody, and leaky

gut.

Am I correct on these and is there anything else I should have checked

while Im at it? Is the leaky gut done by blood test also?

P.S. Oh yes! I am also asking to be changed from mino to doxy due to

hyperpigmentation. Is that right?? :-/ (This is a confused look!)
