Guest guest
Hi Some of us have used the following in-ear white noise generators. Imagine sharing a bedroom with your snoring spouse after years of sleeping separately! https://www.soundmachinesdirect.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SLEEP-EZE Audiologists can sell very inconspicuous hearing-aid-style white noise generators for several thousand dollars. I previously searched for wireless earbuds like you describe. The least obtrusive I saw were the Sony sson HBH-IS800, Plantronics BackBeat 903, and Plantronics Backbeat Go. All have a single wire that runs from ear-to-ear, and some route this behind your neck. None of these are noise canceling but might be OK if they seal tightly. No one has reported buying these yet. Can you share with us any products you found, even if they are not perfect? Thanks! From: Misophonia Sufferer Sent: Friday, July 20, 2012 2:22 PM To: soundsensitivity Subject: covert earpieces? Hello everyone, I am thinking of getting some "covert earpieces," wireless earpieces that hide in your ear and transmit audio from something like your phone. I would use this to mask sounds I don't like. However, when I search for them online, I find a lot of sites, but I cannot tell if anything is reputable. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks, Chris

Guest guest
Thanks, .I do in fact have a pair of in-ear white noise generators, and they are quite helpful. However I have found a specific mixture of sounds that actually masks out noise around the office completely, including all conversation (basically white noise combined with "crowded hallway" noise.) Unfortunately wearing headphones all the time sends a signal to my co-workers that I'm "busy," and since I wear them all the time, it appears that I am always unavailable. So I was thinking, if I had some covert earpieces, I could have my cake and eat it too. Thank you for your suggestions; I will check them out. I'll let you know if I end up trying something out. Guest guest
Hi I attached a car rearview mirror to the top of my computer screen so I could respond to people. I don’t know it that helps your situation. I’ll be interested in what you find out about the wireless devices. Cheers, From: Misophonia Sufferer Sent: Saturday, July 21, 2012 2:55 PM To: Soundsensitivity Subject: Re: covert earpieces? Thanks, .
