Guest guest
Double1122, Would you be able to take some time for yourself every now and then? When you feel like killing him, such as when he's eating, could you go out for a walk? You say sometimes it's easier to take, but when you can't take any more, you might do both him and yourself a favor by just getting the hell outta there. CAN WE TALK.......omg, my worst annoyness is my husband...i have tried everything...but divorce...i feel im being tortured, finally got him to use the headphones to watch tv and not blast me out of living room, but then so quiet in room finally but all I can hear is the most loud annoying sounds I have ever heard...so I end up turning volume up instead of mute to drown him out...(yes I use other rooms and try to stay away, but sometimes you cant)... I could list them but you all know what i mean but multiply it 100 times...I have been around many noises and his are the loudest ever...I have excellent hearing have always said I can hear a ant crawl up a wall behind me, so excellent hearing has made this 4s more torture,...feels I cant win for losing....and he is hard of hearing, how ironic..and also makes him talk louder ......I'm just venting and not a bad or mean person, but , who is hurting and feels shes going to explode....(reminds me of that tv show...SNAPPED...about women who snap and kill their husbands, lol.....omg so many women do it, they made a show about it...lol)....and also to see if anyone has any more ideas besides noice canceling headphones.... While im ranting...here is sample from the last hour...slurping and sipping his coffee, and you can hear him swallow across the room...someone told me thats called hollow head...lol..to funny it does sound that way to..constant clearing throat, blowing nose, and he has awful back problems so he doesnt make a move he isnt moaning and groaning constantly, and i mean constantly.....im feel tortured then feel guilty for seeming to be insensetive....he ate some water melon for lunch...oh my, the slurping and sucking and yes chewing noises were worst ever...he believes chewing everything certain number of times...lol...this is getting funny now even to me...but how do you chew watermelon so long......he is also a mouth breather...besides all the body noises he produces , burping etc....is this what we have to look forward to in old age... His favorite recliner is noisest chair in world and he wont replace it, he loves that chair...he lost his partial, so now he doesnt have half his teeth, you should hear him chew now...takes even longer to chew each bite 28 times...lol.... he also while headphones on and I get a little quiet, he grunts a 'oh yeah' , type noise to the tv, everytime he aggrees or surprised by something...it's funny but awful...I want to record him so bad and play back to him, but he probably couldnt hear it or think im crazy or hurt his feelings...... Maybe this good for me, i'm laughing now.....But also starting to feel guilty and insensetive to his old age and ways...I'm pretty sure most he cant help and i'm the one with 4s....so in closing so glad I found this forum and learning so much and feel better I'm not the only one...I really thought I was crazy, and didnt like to be around people and go out....thanks for listening...hope I didnt annoy anyone...lol =

Guest guest
Have you tried therapy with you both? That way you can talk it all through in a calm way with someone on hand to better explain things if you can't quite get the words out? I know its not a solution but it might help him understand things better if he feels criticised. I'm in a similar (altho less bad) situation with my boyfriend and I know its incredibly hard on him to feel like he's constantly doing things wrong when they're just natural things but he's suggested (which I do) that every time he makes a noise or does something that annoys me, that I jus give him a kiss and cuddle and reassure him that I don't hate him. Which works in two ways coz it does that but also distracts me and calms me down. Hope this helps > > > > > Â > > > > hi....bettergoodbeth....yes i do...but sometimes, i just cant get away or get away fast enough,i run small internet business from home and im disabled to...so getting out hard to do....but i do have bedroom set up with tv laptop chair tv and im in there most evenings...and he isnt aware how the noises bother me...and i do have headset/music and earplugs, but thanks for suggestion....note found new trigger, my 19 grandaughter visiting, and constantly cracks her knuckles and also noticed most her friends do to...for life of me cant figure out why you would want to do that..the noise though is awful, makes me cringe...lol... > > = >
