And, we have no trouble while doing this. G. Guest guest Posted February 3, 2012 Report Share Posted February 3, 2012 Daryl I believe CIGNA will not do a single case agreement if they are the secondary payor. If the CIGNA plan is a PPO plan, his out of networks should pay as secondary. You will need to look at how much is the out of network deductible and out of network out of pocket to determine what is the patient’s financial liability and compare it to the in network benefits. We should always do what is best for the patients. For post transplant care, if your physicians and your hospital are CIGNA contracted provider, they should cover as secondary at in network level.
