Guest guest
Good Morning, I have a question . . . . We had a living donor kidney transplant that happened five years ago. The recipient had Medicare and a secondary insurance at that time to cover living donor expenses. The recipient now, no longer has Medicare or that previous secondary insurance. He has a new insurance now. This is my question . . . . If the donor is now having issues due to kidney transplant nephrectomy, do we bill the recipients Medicare and previous insurance (at the time of transplant) or do we bill recipient's new insurance? I'm hoping I've made sense. Thanks so Much!!!!
