Guest guest
Hi everyone, A gentleman from the Middle East was here visiting relatives and was admitted to a nearby hospital. He was transferred to us from that hospital for a high risk PCI, which apparently is not the right answer. He was found to have severe cardiomyopathy with a very poor EF. From what I’ve been told, he is functioning fairly well at this time, so would not be considered an emergent situation for VAD or transplant. He could possibly benefit from inotropes, but not 100% certain at this time. I’m sure there are many of you who have encountered similar situations and am wondering if you can provide me with some insight and direction on how to handle this. Thanks much! M.
