Guest guest
We are on Epic Phoenix for our outpatient clinc. Debbie, you are correct. We have definitely had problems with assigning the correct guarantors and interfacing it appropriately with our other systems that we use for inpatient (Cerner) and billing (HealthQuest). Since we are still such a new transplant center, we probably haven’t optimized its functionality to the fullest, especially in the TFC role! They have predominantly focused on the clinical/regulatory side first. M. Guest guest
TransChart is a standalone transplant database like Ottr and Teleresults. We have been able to customize to our needs and are able to track in all areas. They also have great support. There is nothing in Phoenix for the financial piece and I am not sure they can/will make any exceptions. It isn’t a transplant database; just a piece of Epic which they expect you to use the financial piece that exists. Unfortunately, this would not enable us to see which patients are approved for transplant from our wait list, which require recertification and pulling data by specific health plans.
