My name is Mike, I live in florida. Im sorry this is so long, but

please read and respond. I do not have RSD myself, but my wife does.

She had an operation on her wrist for carpel tunnel syndrome. After

about three weeks the pain did not go away so

she went back to the doctor and was told this was RSD. She could not

move her had at all and she said it felt hot and she would get shocks.

She was sent to a pain clinic a week later and started getting

ganglion injections in her neck. Im sure each one of you have had

this

done. The first shot worked for a few days, after the second, she

started having pain in her neck and back. The third seems to have

helped a little. now she also goes to therapy every other day. its

been about two months from rsd onset. she can now move all of her

fingers freely and hold some objects such as a glass, but she has had

3 shots so far and I am scared that this is not going to work.

Her hand is still very red and her back hurts to..She was told this

may just be muscle pain from non-movment.

Now...to my question.

Should I feel hope from her being able to move her hand or is this

just part of the stages? If she can move it now...Will it claw up on

her? I made the mistake of looking on the web at sites about RSD.

NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!!!Scince that day, I have nearly Lost my job..I've

lost 15 pounds, and all I want to do is stay asleep.

and cant seem to eat a bite. I cant tell my wife why Im acting like

such a dork because it would scare her to think she may lose the use

of her hand and have this pain forever. I need some imput from a

person with rsd. If she made it this far...will she claw up?

Sorry to be a downer, But I live for this girl, And I am very scared,

Just like everyone here. I will pray for you all. Mike
