Guest guest
Good morning, I have a question for pediatric BMT TFCs. Is there a code that our MD can use for a consult (over 2 hours) w/ a patient's parents? The patient was not able to be in the room with our MD while he was consulting the parents on BMT transplant and he wants to know is it ok to charge the patient's insurance (Medicaid) for the consult when the patient wasn't in the room. Or is there some other type of consult code other than the typical ones that he needs to charge? Thanks in advance for any help available!!
