Guest guest
Hello everyone, We have a patient who is post kidney transplant and she is having trouble getting her prescriptions because of Medicare COB. She has had Medicare due to disability since 1995, was on dialysis since 10/2009 and had her tx in 11/2011. She is telling me Medicare became primary as of 1/1/2012 because her husband who is the subscriber on the LGHP policy retired as of 1/6/12. Doesn't her ESRD entitlement trump the disability which would mean that she is still in the 30-month COB and Medicare would still be secondary? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks so much!
