Living Donor Coverage

Just want to double check…..if a Medicaid only kidney patient isn’t Medicare eligible until day of tx (no dialysis) and has living donor, he/she is okay to have living donor as long as he/she signs up for Medicare on day of tx, correct?

Yes. All donor screening is covered based on the recipient being entitled to Medicare.
