I was just wondering about this! I am glad that you posted this because I am also very irritated when people touch me, bump into me or pat me. I have a friend who will frequently put her hand on my leg when we are talking and I don't like it. I find myself moving my body away from her to keep her from being able to get to me. She is just an outgoing person and she talks with her hands and I know she is in no way trying to irritate me. My father-in-law has a habit of patting me on the back and it drives me nuts. He is the nicest man EVER and I feel so bad for felling this way. I also can't stand it when I am holding someones hand and they rub their thumb on my hand or rub my arm. Thank you for posting because it helps so much to know that I am not the only one! On the other hand, being bumped accidentally by a stranger (whether it's me or my chair) feels like an intrusion into my space. I am the opposite. My father used to say I must have been a cat in my " first life " because I never tire of being petted...
