Hi Everyone,

I was wondering how many mg. of boswellia should you take, how often and

should it be taken with food or is it better taken without? If it should be

taken without food, how long before and after do you wait before you eat or

take medication?

Thanks in advance

Pat

Pat,

I am sorry you did not get a reply your first time. I have been taking Boswellia

for about two months now , except for a few days when I wanted to see if it

really was doing any good. The fact that I started taking it again answers that.

Yes, it is helping. I started on two capsules twice a day and then went to three

capules twice a day. Three was too much. I had some stomach upset and gas

problems. The stomach upset went away as soon as I dropped back to two capules

twice a day. And my wife is happy that the gas problem disappeared also. We buy

the Solaray brand through the Vitamin Shoppe online. They are 325 mg. capsules

at 60 capsules per bottle. The directions say to take 1 or 2 capsules daily

with a meal or a glass of water. I take mine in the morning with food and at

night with only a glass of water, and it seems to work well either way. I cannot

remember the price but I do remember it was the cheapest we found for the 325

mg. capsules. Thanks to Joe Graff. Good Luck.

day, no?

The label says there is also 300 mg of Boswelli Serrata Powder, which makes

it look like 340 mg per capsule, whihc would mean 1 per day, right?

Hi Jim,

Yes, I only counted 40 mg of Boswellic acids-200 mg of the extract,

standardized at 20%. They don't say how much of the 300 mg of the powder

may also be Boswellic acids.
