Guest guest
Hello all, My name is aka De(less typing...lol) I have total body RSD/CRPS for over 15 years now. Mine started when I stress fractured a bone in the top of my right foot. My w/c(workers comp) adjuster fought for 8 or 10 days short of a year. They fought from hearing to hearing then the trail and appeal. All of which I won without a lawyer I might add. I've tried blocks, RFTC, spinal cord stims you name it. I had my first intrathecal pump implant aka morphine pump implant. I an by no means pain free but it makes my pain at least liveable. It went from a 15 down to a 7-8 most days and I can live with that because I know what it would be without it. I aldo havce what is called a P.T.N. (Personal threaphy manager) it's basically a remote that allows me to give myself a bolus when I'm having brp(break through pain) much like the PCA pumps that hospitals use. Your dr. sets the bolus dose and how often you can have it. If you try to get a bolus before that time has expired it locks you out and tells you how much time is left before you can get the bolus. I've developed fibromyalgia from having my sympathetic nervous system firing for so many years. I have DDD(degenerative disc disease) and osteoporosis on top of that. I crushed a vertebra in my back a few years ago when I fell and landed really really hard flat on my butt. I didn't know I had done that until I had an x-ray taken a year after the fall. I thought my back hurt because of the RSD, little did I know I had done that much damage that's for sure. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I look forward to getting to know you all and thanks for letting me into the family. Blessed Be...De A MIND IS LIKE A PARACHUTE...IT ONLY WORKS WHEN IT'S OPEN. Guest guest
Thanks gang for the warm welcome. Having the RSD is bad enough but when I developed fibromyalgia on top of it that was almost the straw that broke the camels back as they say. My last pain doc was in practice with her husband. She treated fibromyalgia because she thought it was really a pain issue. Her hubby on the other hand thought it was all a load of bull and would not treat it at all. Thanks again for the warm welcome. I look forward to getting to know you all. Blessed Be...De
