Guest guest
We went to Eugene today. Gail has five cavities. Seems that she has weak enamel and highly grooved teeth. They are watching a couple others. has one or two, I forget, not bad. He had lots and lots of trouble when he was younger so he got extra flouride and treatments. Seems to be not so bad now...fingers crossed. We return in about two weeks for fillings for Gail and Chris. 's enamel defects haven't gotten any worse so that's good for now. JJ actually got as far as looking at the polishing brush and smelling the polishing toothpaste. Naturally he was not about to let anyone actually touch him with any of those untrustworthy items, but it was interesting to observe his brother squirm and giggle in the seat while having HIS teeth cleaned. Not 's. J was VERY adamant about that. " My teeth NOT yucky! " J felt that was not being animated enough so he happily volunteered to assist by poking him in the belly. This was very effective but not entirely to the delight of the dental technicians. J continued to amuse himself by placing his face in front of the technicians and stating , " You are not doing it right. She is! " , while pointing to the tech working on Gail's teeth. When not advising personnel he was jumping up and down and racing back and forth to the huge salt water aquarium. thought all of this appeared to be great fun and that babies should join in on the antics. was quite disappointed when mean old mother did not immediately agree and allow the baby to add to the mayhem. The dentist, who is one of five children himself, and his wonderful staff took all of this in stride without batting an eye. They were exceedingly patient and worked amazingly well with the children. They always do ever since we first saw them five years ago. That's why I drive 100 miles to see them. It's worth it.
