Guest guest
This article hit home with me. My neurologist has been more helpful with treating my fibro more than any rhuematologist that's treated me so far. Chelsea Should Rheumatologists Be Treating Fibromyalgia? And If Not, Then Who? http://www.prohealth.com/fibromyalgia/library/showarticle.cfm?libid=17007
Guest guest
Dear The 3 New Jersey rhuematologists: The 1st one didn't have a decent knowledge of Fibromyalgia. The 2nd one gave me antidepressants and told me to see a psychologist. The 3rd one gave me painkillers & lidoderm patches which helped a little but I was drowsy all day in addition to the other Fibromyalgia symptoms he didn't address. I gave up and went to my GP for advice and he recommended a New York neurologist who understood Fibromyalgia and treated my sleeping problems, headaches, fibrofog and muscular pain. I still live with Fibromyalgia but I no longer spend all day in bed or on the sofa. The first time in many years. Take Care Chelsea > > > > This article hit home with me. Guest guest
Chelsea, What kinds of things is the neurologist doing or prescribing that is making you feel so much better? I'd love to " get off the couch " more often! Lynn

Guest guest
Hi! The neurologist put me on a small amt of Topamax daily, vitB & Kutapressin shots every 3 days (I give myself), removal of trigger foods from my diet, Imitrex when needed, a Myers Cocktail once a mont & a change in my daily supplements/vitamins. This regimen has made a true difference in my health. I wish it would help everyone but I know each body responds differently and each sufferers' combination of symptoms vary. Best of luck xoxo > > Chelsea, > What kinds of things is the neurologist doing or prescribing that is making you feel so much better? > I'd love to " get off the couch " more often! > Lynn >

Guest guest
Chelsea, What were your trigger foods...if I may ask? I tried Topamax--couldn't tolerate it...started making my eyes weird so I was pulled off of it immediately. What are Kutapressin shots? Which supplements have you found to help you the most? Thanks, Lynn ________________________________ Subject: Re: Should Rheumatologists Be Treating Fibromyalgia? And If Not, Then Who? Hi!
