I have noticed some foods make my tongue burn long after I eat them. I made

the connect with that and onset of flares. For example, peppers that I used

to eat with great delight now burn the heck out of my tongue. Seems I have

developed some sensitivities to certain foods. I quit eating them. If the

burning feeling is connected to specific foods it may be helpful for you to

quit eating them because, if it works like it did with me, you will cut down

on flares.

rheumatic " burning " tongue

I have noticed a symptom which I can't explain and wonder if others have

experienced a similar feeling. Sometimes, I have noticed a sensation of

mild burning or tingling--I really don't know how to explain it--just a

little back from the tip of the tongue. I am trying to be aware of when I

feel it, but so far I can't seem to find a pattern. I have RA and wonder if

it's connected to that.

I remember eating some ice cream with butterscotch topping

at a local smorgasbord. After I ate that, I completely lost

my voice. I caught onto this about the second or third time

it happened.

I've noticed a lot more sensitivity, but I'm thinking maybe it's yeast

related (thrush)?? My whole mouth has gotten more sensitive, and burns when

I eat stuff that used to be no problem. I use Tea Tree Oil tooth paste which

was recommended by someone in this group (Thank you so much to whoever it

was, I can't believe I've forgotten, but I have!). It helps me a lot to have

a " normal " feeling mouth.

I've had my mouth burn at times too, just like you.

On the subject of yeast...I just got through reading a description

of thrush, and I understand that this thrush will look like white

spots in the mouth.
